I have also been cutting way back on paper towels and napkins by using towels and clothnapkins. I need to look into CVS savings and see if I can get the deals shopping on line as I'm disabled and can't get into the stores.

I do lump my groceries and household items into one budget bucket, so watching costs on household and personal care items is really important!

Thanks for a really educational video, Mindy!

@renoki4540 says:

I like your ideas for couponing. I know the brands are not always perfect but I get alot of these kinds of products at the Dollar Tree. Also I have found some store brands of stuff on amazon and local grocery store.

@chickaletta55 says:

Carlasavings does amazing couponing videos at CVS.

@francesrn5210 says:

Some things to consider: CVS regular prices are very inflated. I notice they tend to over inflate the price then put items on “sale”. But with rolling the extra care bucks there are definitely deals.

@Coles22 says:

Wow dude! So that’s how to do CVS! Can’t wait to try it! I love all your glasses! Thanks for sharing another great video ❤

@Elizabeth-lj1vm says:

Wow! That CVS shopping was great. Thank you.

I don't have much room for bulk/ over stock storage. 😫 Also, I wish I could rotate my deodorant and shampoo like that, but were a house of 3, all with sensitive skin. I've only found 1 deoderant that works for me anymore. Lume. They do have deals, though. It comes out to 11 a stick that lasts about 3 mos. Plus, i have curly hair & only one shampoo line seems to keep my hair healthy & less frizzy. It's not too expensive, though & i get deals at Target for it. That's the only retailer that sells it. That stuff does stink. As for razors, I'm able to use the billie razors & no longer need to shave cream as a result. That has saved tons.

@heatherwilson6407 says:

this is my first time listen to you and I was very happy and agree in what you are saying.

@LeMErin21 says:

My closest CVS is a bit out of the way, but I may start looking into their deals more now. DG is also a great one for deals if you know what you’re doing. I got a 2 pack of fancy toothbrushes and three tubes of toothpaste for 13 cents- retail was originally $16.50 🤑

@elainecarrillo5434 says:

Wow I’m going to have to try out CVS, great idea on putting $100 aside to see how long that lasts. TFS! Love ur channel ❤

Love the cvs content

@balamb25 says:

CVS has the best customer rewards hands down. They are constantly sending me 30-40% off coupons, $4-10 off purchases and things like that. And this evening they stacked two 30% off one item coupons! I didn't even know that two were loaded on my card, much less that it would apply both! With my rewards, the bottle of Mylanta I went to buy went from $12 to $2 and I honestly went in thinking I'd get it for about $9. Don't sleep on the CVS rewards people!

@AYBS7285 says:

For a long time, I couldn't figure out the couponing game, always would end up overspending and get items I'd never use. I've finally mastered it, at least through digital coupons and sales at Meijer, Giant Eagle, and Walgreens. You really do need to use math and sit and plan extensively. I understand now why the ladies (or men) would spend a lot of time going through the flyers and calculating everything. I've tried CVS, but I can't seem to figure out how to use the extra care bucks…

@Gardeningchristine says:

Unless it’s cling wrap I don’t consider most containers “single use” soda bottles get refilled with water, anything with a lid gets saved for leftovers, I even use some fruit and veg containers for starting seeds in spring or growing micro greens.

@melindalloyd3805 says:

I am trying to get better about not buying paper towels plates that kind of thing I was wondering on the water drop does it leave an aftertaste so many of the water flavors do and I hate that please let me know. Thank you. Love your channel.

@wandatucker3509 says:

how long is it going to take you to store a year's worth of stuff you may not use…….and how much money have you spent just to get those bucks that trigger's your spending sprees…….just buy what you need and will use with in a month or two…..with the bucks on those products……only……..otherwise you are over-spending………

@marjoriejohnson4559 says:

My favorite deal at CVS is when they have buy 1 and get 1 free vitamins and supplements.

@MomDS says:

We use dish cloths for napkins, they are smaller and really easy to wash and don’t wrinkle and are very affordable!

@annettejones7777 says:

The dollar aisle at DG can be great. I love the charcoal toothpaste. You can also get many other personal hygiene items. Just be aware of sizes.

My all purpose cleaner in a mixture of Dawn original blue, rubbing alcohol, and water. Works great on hard surfaces, excluding wood. I also like it on mirrors but not windows.

And don't forget Dollar Tree. I haven't met a bottle of Fabuloso I haven't liked. They have some new off brand bathroom and toilet cleaners that are getting good reviews, though I haven't tried them yet.

@janetwest9308 says:

I’m not from the USA and don’t truly understand how coupons work but it is obvious to me just how much manufacturers mark up products if there is so wiggle room to bring the prices down with coupons. Wouldn’t it be fairer and more equitable for all if the prices were simply lower across the board ?

@tgayer1 says:

OK, that CVS haul hurt my brain!

@rajimac says:

I loved all of your ways of not using paper and plastic products . I would do a lot of those too. But when it came to you talking about the coupons it was as if you started talking a new language I’d never heard before and didn’t understand. I went blank!! But well done for saving money or what ever you did there!!!

@tgayer1 says:

I only use paper towels for when I need to have it directly touch food, like I will put a paper towel in a bag with salad greens so they don’t stay wet, or I will use paper towels to pat dry some raw chicken. Otherwise I use rags to clean up messes.

@Nonidee says:

When I was couponing CVS was the store where I REALLY saved ! The best I ever did using coupons , was extra Care bucks, matching them up with coupons and free items . I wound up getting 3 carts full for less than $1.00 and I still got more Extra care buck on my next purchase . I was so proud of myself and I heard the lady behind me say I wanna do what she did . I spent a LOT of time on this trip and was very tired but it was worth it and I’ll never forget it. You did great and saved a lot too and I just love all your videos thank you.

@SusanP674 says:

I had no idea there was so much couponing at CVS, thanks for sharing the information!

@paulinepietila7701 says:

How much do you spend on gas for these trips?

@malawrence1 says:

I bought flour sack towels to use as napkins!

@stevemcmillin2737 says:

Oh my gosh the advertisers for cleaning products! They are insane. Why do people believe them when they tell you you need a different cleaner for every room of the house? I just noticed that my toilet bowl clean says it's good for cleaning the toilet AND the toilet brush? Who KNEW? Can't believe they don't sell two different products for that job.
